It's the fact that YouTube will shit on the people who love creating content to cater to some corporate big wigs. That is what made me stop creating content for YouTube and got me to plan what I can bring to Vidme for the Horror Community.

        • [ – ] Pharaoh_Productions parent reply True that smaller creators don't earn much on youtube but same will be here (most likely) because people that watch creators will have to pay from their pockets to support creators that they like (tip/subscribe). And most likely people will choose old creators that they like from youtube or people that make top shelf content. That means that new people and less known people won't find motivation to keep progressing because they won't see generated income (even few cents) just number of followers. Most people who make content would like to see even .5$ that they generated and on next video they would work more so they could make that .5$ to 1$ and that is progression. Personally I wouldn't subscribe to person that lacks of editing skills and pay them 1$ I think 80%+ wouldn't that's why there will be minimum to none income for new people

With Vidme, it's all tipping and subscriptions. I just don't want a website telling me what kind of content I can or cannot post because fuckin Pepsi doesn't care for it.

I mean seriously, the ones that constantly defend him act like some of the most garbage people towards viewers that are reasonably angry.

His fans, when defending him, can be toxic and even Keem realises that. But the thing about his die hard fans being brainwashed can be said about his die hard haters as well. A lot of Keemstar's hate comes from videos created by people such as LeafyIsHere and GradeAUnderA, but their videos were mostly bullshit and took things out of context to make him seem worse than he actually was. People like Pyrocynical and Idubbbz made justified videos and noted Keem's actual flaws, while people like Leafy just got him unjustified hate. Just saying that his haters can be as brainwashed as the fans.

He isn't nationally famous, he is only famous through Youtube and Social Media. He isn't instantly recognizable to everyone. You know who are more notable celebrities? Ellen Degenerates, Shaquiall O'Nell, Jessica Alba, Tom Brady, Danica Patrick, John Cena, Orlando Jones, Patrick Stewart....I could go on, but I think the point I'm making is clear. DramaAlert has a little bit less than 2 million subs on YouTube...that's still quite low in comparison to what more established and well-known people could pull in. And since YouTube is going after shows and people that in that realm of fame, he is a lesser-known. Not lesser-known on YouTube, but in the scope of things overall...he isn't well-known in general as a celebrity. Does that put things more into perspective?

She reminds me of the CEO of Yahoo that pretty much killed them when she took over.     • WinningGuy reply I admire what Vidme is trying to accomplish. And YouTube doesn't have to be "bad" for Vidme to turn into something big and good. They can coexist. The revenue models are different, and different creators have the opportunity to choose the model that works best for them. For some, the traditional ad revenue model is best. Get a ton of viewers and get paid. However... if you make how-to videos for woodworking, you'll never get a million views. If you make videos about the cellular structure of plants, you'll never get a million views. But the the people who do watch your videos might value it more. So a revenue model that allows for tipping or paid subscriptions could be perfect. If there are just 5000 people on the planet that like your stuff enough to give you $12/yr, you can earn a living.
